The location

VOCE Aimo e Nadia, the new business project of the Aimo e Nadia Group in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo, is located where the Gallerie d’Italia Museum is now based. A large artistic and architectural complex formed by the 18th-century Palazzo Anguissola, the 19th-century Palazzo Canonica, Palazzo Beltrami and Casa Manzoni, which houses the study center of the same name. A fluid, multifunctional space conceived and designed by AMDL studio, under the guidance of architect Michele De Lucchi.

The layout and design of the spaces was made to blend with the different architectural styles of the Gallerie d’Italia through the use of oak wood, Botticino marble, granite columns, and especially furniture from Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. The chairs, from De Lucchi’s own Radetzky project, feature a solid beech frame with curved wood elements that blend harmoniously with the design of the back legs and backrest. Another peculiarity is the choice of small tables, Pastis and Porto, designs by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna Gmbh (GTV), contemporary versions of bar tables, which lend elegance and sophistication to the location. “VOCE reflects in its lights, colors, and materials this journey between different but recognizable eras and styles: a little bit Parisian bistro, a little bit Viennese cafeteria, a little bit Italian restaurant,” added Michele De Lucchi during the press conference to present VOCE.

Inside the Gallerie d’Italia, the architect custom-designed an exclusive room, La Finestra sul Giardino di Manzoni, an intimate place overlooking one of Italy’s most prestigious gardens. The room is equipped with WIFI, sound system, screen and video projector and smart TV adapting to all kinds of events: exclusive dinners, private events, boarding meetings, press lunches. Manzoni’s Garden hosts, throughout the summer season, the Gourmet Restaurant offering the chance to relive the magic that inspired the life and literary production of Alessandro Manzoni. And for an even more immersive experience, you can book the Desco del Manzoni, an exclusive gastronomic experience inspired by the culinary passions of the famous writer and man of letters.

“As far as I am concerned, I am between the family the trees and the verses. We have bought a house where there is a large garden of almost a tenth of an arpent, in which I have not failed to plant liquidambars, sophora, tuia, and fir trees, which, if I live long enough, will one day come to visit me from the window,” Alessandro Manzoni wrote in February 1814 to his friend the literary critic Claude Fauriel.

in Musica

VOCE in Music is the project where sound meets taste in the beautiful setting of the Gallerie d’Italia Museum.

The layout and design of the spaces was created to blend with the different architectural styles of the Gallerie d’Italia through the use of oak wood, Botticino marble, granite columns and, above all, furniture by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. The chairs, from De Lucchi’s own Radetzky project, feature a solid beech frame with curved wooden elements that blend harmoniously with the design of the back legs and backrest. Another peculiarity is the choice of small tables, Pastis and Porto, designs by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna Gmbh (GTV), contemporary versions of bar tables, which lend elegance and refinement to the location. “VOCE reflects in its lights, colours, and materials this journey between different but recognisable eras and styles: a little Parisian bistrot, a little Viennese café, a little Italian restaurant,” added Michele De Lucchi during the press conference presenting VOCE.
